Art x Science Talk Transdisciplinary Perspectives on glacial Ecologies

We were invited for an Art-Science talk at DOCK Basel by Janis Polar, visual artist and cultural researcher, within the frame of his exhibition *gel-[archive].

Some of the questions that were raised during the talk:

How can artists approach glaciers and their ecosystems with a scientific eye?

To what extent can scientists sharpen their research approaches with ecofeminist perspectives and questions of decolonisation of ecology or climate justice?

Why is collaboration between art and science important and can change dominant narratives and ideas? In this talk, we explore our own questions and perspectives of working around and on glaciers at the intersection of art and science.
